It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Francesca D’Antico on April 8, 2024 at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of Francesco Canonico (d. 2023), cherished mother of Raffaella, RoseMarie (Alfredo), Vincent, and Grace (Tony), and devoted grandmother (nanna) of Francesca and Massimo. She will also be missed by her sister, Anna (Gerardo), and brothers Michael (Helen), and Vito (Chantal) along with many relatives and friends.

Our mother was an engaging conversationalist. She always had an encouraging word or an old proverb to share for comfort. Her love for her chéri (Ciccio) was only matched by the love for her children and grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Our only solace is in knowing that she has now rejoined our beloved dad, and are hand in hand, in a place that transcends time.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 10:00 am -11:30 am, at St-John Bosco Church, 2510 Springland, with a mass immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
