On June 8th, 2016, passed away at the age of 97, Basile Lavranos, doting husband for 72 years of Georgia Lavranos, devoted father of Athanasios (Athena) Lavranos and Marina (George) Klironomos, adored grandfather of Sophia Lavranos, Vickie & Dimitri Koutsogianis, Julie and Dimitri Klironomos. Brother of the late Nikolaos, Omiros and Costas Lavranos, loving brother-in-law and uncle of relatives in Canada and Greece and cherished friend and neighbor to many who marvelled at his stamina, determination and great compassion.
