Guy - or Guy-Guy, as he was affectionately known - was a sincere and genuine individual. He and Maggie were a constant presence in Newport for many years, as much a part of ‘the bluffs’ as the other regulars. I last saw Guy this past Autumn, where I visited him twice at his home. Both times, he asked me how my mom is doing, and told me to give her his regards - though he hadn’t seen my mom in some 25 years, at least. Such were his sincere and kind thoughts toward others. He was one of a rare breed... and with his passing, there is now one fewer - to the detriment of us all.

It's so difficult finding the words to express how much dimmer the world seems with Guy gone; he was always so quick with the laugh and quicker with the story. He made every scene seem all the more social and inviting by just being there and thinking of what they'll be now, without him...it's like thinking of picnics without sunshine - doable, but not the same and not in a good way. There's comfort, however, in knowing that he and Auntie Maggie are together again and can now truly be at peace.

Having worked and played together for eons since Place Ville Marie days Guy was definitely one of the nicest "Guys" I have ever met. Whether at work or reminiscing with Roger and Richard at our yearly get togethers over some suds these memories will never fade. From the 5 to 7 club on Friday nights in the early '60s to our last get together in Le Manoir or on the golf course last summer Judy and I will miss him. RIP with Margaret Guy!

We will miss that smile! Guy was young at heart, humorous and always had a witty or wise comment. He never forgot his Shediac roots and his distinct French Acadian accent served to make his point. The photo says it all. His laughter still rings. Guy, the perfect gentleman, wise, kind, considerate. In the 50 years that I knew Guy, I cannot recall any instance of intolerance, ever.

Samuel Butler wrote, "I fall asleep in the full and certain hope That my slumber shall not be broken; And that, though I be all-forgetting, Yet shall I not be all-forgotten, But continue that life In the thoughts and deeds Of those I have loved." Never has this sentiment been more truly pertinent than in this moment, for this man, whose love and joy and friendship touched so many. Rest in peace, Guy, and in the knowledge that you will never be forgotten.

You couldn't hope to meet a nicer, kinder easier going person than Guy. He loved his golf and the only thing je might have loved more was talking with friends. In Montreal or in Newport Vermont, he was as much a part of the Shee family as any of us. Guy will be sorely missed and always remembered.

Nothing but fond memories of Uncle Guy. A unique personality that always had a smile on his face and was able to bring one to others as well.
