I send my belated sincere condolences to Ann's family - I developed a lovely acquaintance with Ann when I lived in St. Bruno through the Legion. Although we saw each other only at special events, Ann was always the same whenever we met. She was the epitome of class and a very gracious, kind and dear lady who, I am sure, will be sorely missed. Ann and I sat together many times at the same table and shared a glass of wine together and always with a little laugh. Please know that I am sorry my condolences are belated - I did not know that Ann was no longer with us until now. My sincerest sympathies go to her family and friends who knew Ann and loved her during the time she was here.

Deepest condolences to Carol Ann and family. Your mother's gentle nature and light hearted spirit where qualities in her I knew to be true even through I had only spoken to her a handful of occasions throughout the years. I always thought she was so classy. What I will remember is a strength of kindness, so rare in this world. xox

When Carol Ann first introduced her to my siblings and me; we weren't sure of how we were supposed to address her by so we called her Nona (we spelled it with one 'n' ever since we were kids). The same way that her grandson Laurent addressed her as. It was fitting to call her that because in many ways she was exactly that to us; a grandmother figure. We have been so lucky to have known her for a huge portion of our lives and for some of us, practically our whole lives. One of the most amazing people that we have had the privilege of spending a lot of time with over the years. I don't think I need to explain how special she was because anyone who knew her already knows. I'm especially thankful that she let us be a part of her vulnerable moments after she became ill. For someone who carried herself like she did, I know it wasn't easy for her but even then, in our eyes, she still was such a woman of grace. Most importantly though, she was the same Nona that we love throughout. We will never forget the sound of her laughter, how incredibly strong and graceful she was and especially how kind-hearted she was. Truly an amazing person. She will forever be in our hearts and memories. With love, from the Hoang, Huynh, and Vo family.

Nona was a grandmother me and my sister never had. She is one of a kind. Nona is a sweet, kind, and caring person. She is always thinking of others, and she has a generous heart. Nona has a great sense of humor, and is such a wonderful lady. She had a way of making everyone happy. I had the pleasure of taking care of Nona, and it was such an amazing experience. She would always try to take care of me, and make me feel at home. Nona is one of the strongest women i know, and she has a strong sense of dignity. I am glad I got to meet such a beautiful soul. My deepest condolences to her family, and all those who loved her. Love you Nona!

A wonderful woman may be gone but she is not forgotten. She was an inspiration to me during my teenage years and my fondness for her has never diminished. My deepest simpathy to all who grieve her passing.

I first met Ann in 1989 when I went to spend the Christmas holiday at her place with her son, David. Despite the fact that she was grieving the very recent loss of her husband, Larry, she was a gracious hostess and I liked her immediately. Over the years, I considered her my friend and loved spending time in her company. She was considerate, kind, fair and generous. She also had a good sense of humour. I will miss her terribly. My sincere condolences to Ken, Carol Ann, Michael and Laurent as well as the rest of her family and friends.

Nona was there for me in every way possible from my birth until her last days. The support and joy for life she showed me every time I was with her causes me to feel happiness at a time of grieving. I feel her caring presence looking over me now more than ever. Knowing her, this positive energy will be felt by all she knew, as this loving outlook on life she applied to every being, every situation. I love you and will forever miss you Nona. XOX

My sincere condolences to the family at the loss of your dear mother and brother/uncle. Ann charmed us all when she attended the day center and shared her stories of life abroad. The traits described in her obituary shone through to her final months. Rest in peace sweet lady; I am so glad to have had a chance to meet you. God bless. Susan
