Our Story<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn 1902, Henri Bourgie established the funeral services company Bourgie H. & Co. and opened a first funeral home.\n\nIn the mid-19th century, the company\u2019s name was changed to Urgel Bourgie. In order to meet growing demand, the company branched out, adding new services such as embalming, funeral services and manufacturing coffins and hearses. The company also opened several other funeral homes in Montreal.\n\nSince then, Urgel Bourgie has continued to grow, acquiring many other funeral service companies, including the Parc Comm\u00e9moratif de Montr\u00e9al, the Jardins des Laurentides in St-Hubert, Laval\u2019s Parc du Souvenir and the Feron funeral homes in Greater Montreal.\n\nThe company has also bought out several well-known funeral homes in the Quebec City area, including J. Bouchard et Fils, L\u00e9pine Cloutier, the Parc Comm\u00e9moratif La Souvenance, the Jardins Qu\u00e9bec and Falardeau B\u00e9dard Roy.\n\nSince 2012, Urgel Bourgie \/ Athos has been a member of the Athos Services Comm\u00e9moratifs group.
