Born in Trinidad, West Indies, Ron came to Canada and settled in Chateauguay, Quebec where he quickly became a respected member of the community, and of the whole Chateauguay mosaic. He lived a blessed life, surrounded by his family and friends, his books and music, and his bountiful garden. Ron was an avid reader and scholar, never ceasing to expand his knowledge on a variety of topics throughout his life. He was an inspiring figure to all who knew him through his work as a dedicated minister, author and much-loved teacher at Howard S. Billings High School. He touched the lives of so many with his brilliant mind, kind and generous spirit and loving heart. Our memories of his beautiful existence and his bright smile will live on in our hearts forever.

Marian Jean Morwood

It is with heavy hearts, sadness and deepest regret that we announce the passing of our loving mom, Marian Jean Morwood-Charles
Marian was born on September 3rd, 1934, to William S. Morwood and Patricia Black in Montreal (Verdun Qc.). She was a loving wife to Harold E. Charles (deceased 1932-1997), loving mom to Stephen (Kris Hatch), Michael (Cindy Erkelens), Ann-Louise (Daniel Martin) and Elaine (Francis Ojo). Marian was blessed to have been loved by her grandchildren: Craig, Keri, Brendan, Chaz, Riley, Courtney, Zachary, Jessica, Dannick, Emma, Luis, Chelsea and Dillon; and also great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.
Marian is survived by her sisters Ann Morwood and Janice Cumming, her brother David Morwood, along with many loving nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, with special mention to Karen Charles (White), Nancy Montgomery and Susan Stanley.

Later on in her adult life Marian returned to University and completed her studies in Theology . She then became a Minister in the United Church of Canada, enjoying many wonderful years with dad at Waterloo, Fulford and Lachine United churches. Years both she and dad whole heartedly enjoyed.

Marian's celebration of life to be held on Friday September 3rd at 2:00 pm, a live streaming in the chapel of the
Jardin Urgel Bourgie
8145 cheminde Chambly, St-Hubert

Marian's many loves included baking, gardening, bird watching, reading, history, traveling gazing out at the ocean, football, (Tom Brady), she simply had a special appreciation for the smallest of things.

Mom, may you be walking through Picadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, gazing at the daffodils and smelling the sweet aroma of the Japanese cherry trees that you love so much in London, or walking on the beach at Hampton feeling the salty spray from the ocean waves or perhaps just sitting on the balcony of DakiManen, VT., with the ones you love, enjoying a drink at happy hour as you gaze onto the hills and valleys that warmed your heart and ours. Memories we will cherish always… You are loved forever momma, w.w.w.e.d.w.y…xo

In lieu of flowers… Hug or make someone smile today… just because.
