1923 - 2021
In her 98 plus years, she had seen it all. Through war, poverty, hard physical work, she persevered. She was destined to succeed in life. Her wise decisions and her frugality bore her fruit in her later years. There was never a time that anyone entered her home, that they felt anything but welcome. "What can I bring you?" "Please have a seat, enjoy." But most importantly she was all about family. Her primary goal was for her family to be united. She loved being the focal point of the family. Every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, was a celebration of love. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss her deeply. They lived for these celebrations. There is more, much more that we can say. But the most important thing is that we loved her deeply.
Goodbye Mama and sleep peacefully.

Many thanks to her many caregivers over the years, in particular, Eleftheria and Anna K. who made it possible for her to stay in her own home until the very end, and to the staff at Sacre Coeur Hospital, who did their utmost to provide the most attentive care throughout her short stay.
