Robert William Newcombe, age 69, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2021 after a short but fierce battle following complications from a stroke. He was born April 10, 1952 in the small town of Springhill, Nova Scotia.

Uncle Rob was always quick with a joke and generous with his laughs, I recall going to Montreal awhile ago and enjoy some fantastic food and some even better games of crib. Will be missed by all who knew him!

Elizabeth, my thoughts and heart are with you and your family during this time. I’m so sorry for the loss of your loved one, as I know Robert was a special person in your life. I have fond memories when we were growing up of Rob always being very kind, generous and thoughtful towards me. He had such a wonderful sense of humour. Robert will be deeply missed by those who lives he touched. May the many happy memories that you made together be a consolation today and all the days ahead. Uncle Rob always had a fantastic sense of humor. I'll never forget his laugh, it was from the belly and full of joy. One of my favorite memories when I was young was visiting him and Nana. He would distract Nan so that I could sneak downstairs to the "good fridge" and would let me have as many soda's as my little heart desired. It seemed like such a small thing but it was something I never forgot, he was my co-conspirator and my friend. I love you Uncle Rob, I'll miss you <3
