On May 10th, 2021, in his 70th year, at the Royal-Victoria Hospital. Beloved son of the late Frank and Margaret Sedgwick. Donald is
survived by his sister Helen (Rev. Robert Williams) of Ottawa, his brother David (Yolanda Garcia) of Montreal, his nephew Stephen Sedgwick-Willams of Ottawa, his aunt
Tina Johnston of Sydney NS, along with numerous cousins in Cape Breton, Ontario, Alberta and the United-States.
Donald developed an early love of the arts, playing piano from an early age and continuing throughout his life. In university he discovered archeology, participating in excavations in Greece from 1972-1982 and lecturing on the subject at both Concordia and McGill Universities. Donald enjoyed a 23 year career at McGill as an advisor in the Arts & Science department, making numerous cherished friendships that continued beyond his retirement.
Donald will be remembered as a very kind, generous and gentle person.
