Beloved husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Salvatore will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Rosa (nee Ionta), his children, Antonio (Carol), Filomena (Scott), Giuseppe (Marielle), Anna (Pietro) and Rita (Stephane). Salvatore will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Yan), Louis (Lina), Sarah (Philippe), Salvatore (Stefanie), Amanda, Rosalie (Hugo), Andrea (Michael), Daniel and Gian Pietro and his great-grandchildren Amelia, Rose, Victor, Julien, Leo, Milo and Alessandro. He will be sorely missed by his sister Antonietta and brother-in-law Emilio, sister-in-laws Angela, Silvana, Caterina, and Maria; and his nieces and nephews among other friends and relatives. Salvatore is predeceased by his parents Antonio and Filomena and brothers Giuseppe and Elio.
Salvatore was born March 14, 1931 in Mondragone, Province of Caserta in the Italian region of Campania. He was a mechanic by trade. Salvatore immigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal on December 26, 1956. He married his wife Rosa on January 12, 1957, in Montreal. Together they happily raised five children. Salvatore had a passion for gardening that he cultivated throughout his retirement. He loved experimenting with different varieties and rotations of vegetables. He took pride in what he did and the result was a beautiful garden that family and friends benefited from.
Sadly, over the years Salvatore’s heart weakened. In the past 6 months he developed severe congestive heart failure, renal failure and pulmonary edema.
Finally Covid-19 virus took him from us on December 16, 2020. Rest In Peace, you are now reunited with your brothers.
In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Salvatore Giulione to the Heart and Stroke Foundation/ Fondation des maladies du cœur et de l'AVC, OR a charity of your choice.
