Maria Anunziata Lea (née Tucci)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lea (nee Tucci), daughter of Arcangelo and Michelina Tucci. Mary passed away on May 12th 2020 at 90 years old. She has gone to join her husband of 61 years Robert Lea (predeceased) in heaven.

As the matriarch of the family, she leaves behind her sons John (Lise), Ron (Annelie), Perry (Debbie) and her daughter Beverley (feu Daniel). She also leaves to mourn her 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many relatives & friends. Mary will be remembered for her kind soul, heart of gold and vibrant personality.

A special thank you to Dr. Alfred Illescas for his continued support and compassion during her last few weeks.

The family will be receiving condolences and a memorial mass will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s association would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Everyone posting your condolences, prayers and memories of our wonderful loving Mom. Reading your kind words and memories helps us through this very difficult time. We are very grateful to all friends and family who were part of our Mom's long life. She loved everyone. What made her so special and unique is she had the ability to share her love and care unconditionally. I have no doubt God was very pleased with her work and legacy that she leaves us. She made this world a better place for the time she was with us. She is finally home with our Dad, her parents, brother and sister along with many other family and friends. We will be together again. In the meantime, we will honor and remember her for all the days of our lives.

Ma, I have so many memories of you,and so many that will stay with me for a lifetime. One was you baking desserts for Xmas dinner while we watched "Holiday Inn" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, and Rosemary Clooney. It was yearly thing when I was young. That was Xmas for me, that time you made so special. Mille Grazie Mama!! If you look up the word heart I'm sure there's a picture of my Mother. Love you forever my sweet and wonderful Mother!! See you on the other side, and will dance to Sinatra, after you dance with Dad of course. Ron

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences on the loss of your mom. Mrs. Lea was a wonderful lady, a ray of sunshine that always brought a smile to everyone’s face. Moms live in a special place in the hearts of their children. That's why mothers continue to live even after they pass on. We will always remember Mrs. Lea fondly. She’s now re-united with her Bob, the love of her life that she loved so dearly. May the memory of your mom give you peace and the same feelings of love you had when she was alive.

Mary, I never got the chance to ever meet you, but I thank you for the happiness and joy you always put on the faces of others. You spread so much love and happiness to let alone your own family, but mine as well. You always asked how my sisters and I are, and we thank you for that. You created a wonderful and caring family, and I get to call one of your sons my wonderful Uncle. I will forever cherish the phones calls with Uncle Perry, Auntie Debbie, and Alannah where you either have asked how we are doing or you are visiting them and are on the other end of the phone. Mary, you were a wonderful woman and brought joy to so many lives. I hope you are flying high up there with my Oma, and held each others hands as you both continue your life up in heaven. May you forever Rest In Peace Mary.

Mary was beautiful inside and out. We are lucky to have known her. While I am so sad she has passed, I believe she has crossed over to a new life and has joined her husband and sister. May she Rest In Peace and I will think of her (she loved her bowling) every time it thunders!!! Let’s all raise a glass in her honour and memory.
