Frank Caissie

Peacefully at the Verdun Hospital, on December 16, 2017, at the age of 97, Mr Francois Joseph Caissie passed away. He was the son of the late Frank J. Caissie and Anne-Marie Leblanc.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Dorina Thériault, his sons John (Pauline Thérien) and Louis (Annick Tremblay), his daughters Frances, Claudia and Denise, his grandchildren Frederic and Meghen Caissie, Sophie Rodrigue and Vincent Caissie as well as his great-granddaughter Laurie Tardif.

Frank was born on June 16 1920 in Shediac New Brunswick. He enlisted in the Canadian army in 1942. He left Canada in July 1944 for England and he joined the Cape Breton Highlanders Regiment and became an officer of the D company. He fought in Italy and in Holland; he returned to Canada in January 1946.

He graduated from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) with a degree in civil engineering in 1950. .He spent most of his career from 1954 to 1985 working In Montreal and in Quebec City for Defence Construction (1951) Limited, a Crown corporation.

As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Montreal Alzheimer Society, 4505, rue Notre-Dame Ouest Montréal (Québec) H4C 1S3.
