Fayez Tabah
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Fayez Tabah, a man of quiet strength, profound wisdom and enduring love. Born on November 10, 1931 in the historic town of Zahle, Lebanon, Fayez lived a determined and dedicated life, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Fayez's family was the center of his world, and he was extremely proud of the legacy he left behind. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mona Haddad, whose devotion was his greatest blessing, and his cherished children: Stephen (Marisa), Gary (Lynn) and Carla (Nadim). His precious grandchildren - Philip, Eric, Sabrina, Taylor, Brandon and James - and his step-grandchildren, Fabiana and Tarek, will carry on his enduring spirit and the lessons he imparted with love and care.
For more than seven decades, Fayez shared a remarkable partnership and business relationship with his brother Georges, building a legacy of loyalty, perseverance and respect. Renowned for his extraordinary memory, Fayez enriched the lives of all who knew him with his sharp intelligence and gentle advice, leaving them in awe of his insight and kindness.
Fayez found joy in simple things, especially in the company of his family. He needed no great adventures to find happiness, for his greatest treasures were the love and warmth of those around him. At the end of his life, he embraced a life of quiet contentment, savoring quiet moments surrounded by those he loved.
A life rooted in humility and peace will be celebrated as he wished:
Visitation will take place on January 16 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at Saint-Georges Orthodox Church from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Fayez will then be laid to rest in Mount Royal Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace.
Although Fayez's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, his memory remains a source of strength and inspiration. He leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, quiet dignity and deep love that he shared with all those who had the good fortune to call him husband, father, brother, grandfather or friend.
The family expresses its deep gratitude to Dr. April Shamy for her support and guidance during Fayez's recent journey. We would also like to thank the palliative care team at the Jewish General Hospital for their compassion, which brought comfort to Fayez and his family in his final days.
