It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francine Vallerand, in Montreal on December 26, 2024, at the age of 78.

She was the daughter of the late Louis-Olivier Vallerand and the late Marguerite Bélanger. 

Francine is survived by her husband, André Duchesne, as well as her brothers and sisters: André Vallerand (Denise Tassé Vallerand), Claude Vallerand and Nicole Dyer Vallerand. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Natalie André Vallerand and her husband Yves, Éric and Pascale and her husband Paul, Sophie and Claudine, Michel and Marc André and many other friends.

Francine touched many lives with her kindness, generosity and unconditional love of family. She will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

There is so much beauty in our passing, if not the will to reach out to her and even to see in this passing another force that includes love, friendship, tenderness and compassion.

The family sincerely thanks all those who offered their support during this difficult time.
