Serafina (Sera) Carinci Fuoco
1938 – 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Serafina (Sera) Carinci Fuoco who departed us on December 20th 2024 at the age of 86. Born on November 20th 1938 in Montreal Quebec, she lived a life defined by simplicity, humility, and quiet strength.
Sera leaves behind her beloved husband Joe Fuoco, her two children Richard and Anna (Nick), her grandchildren Francesca, Brendon, Ashley, Lucas, Nicole, Alexandre, and Victor, her two great grandchildren Michael and Aubrey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
While Sera was known for her reserved demeanor, her devotion to her family, loved ones, and community was unequivocable- always willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. She lived her life for others; selflessly and without fanfare. But for those of us who remember Sera fondly, there is no memory of her that didn’t include her adored husband, Joe, who never left her bedside. Together for over 60 years, Sera & Joe shared a lifetime of memories big & small. Their favourites always included a shared love of sports, travelling around the world, family vacations in Wildwood or Mont-Tremblant, countless years serving the Saint-Francis of Assisi Parish, and spending ordinary moments with their grandchildren.
If there is anything to remember from Sera's legacy, it's her compassion for others and the deeply personal love she had for her family. We invite you to join us in celebrating her life on Saturday January 4th 2025 at Urgel Bourgie Beaumont (1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mount-Royal, Quebec H3P 0A1). Viewing will be held from 10:00AM-12:00PM followed by a funeral service and reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Saint-Francis of Assisi Parish in Park Extension.
