Jacqueline Abraham
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Abraham. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, who peacefully left us on Wednesday December 18th 2024, in Lasalle, Québec, at the age of 96.
Born November 10th 1928, in Montreal, Jacqueline led a life filled with love, humor, and devotion to her family. A proud and dedicated mother, Jacqueline was predeceased by her two husbands, Eugene Monast and Edward Coyle, and her children, Lorraine (Jean Louis), Jaqueline (Nick), Eddie (Christine), and Eugene. She leaves behind a large and loving family, including her children, Sally (Roger), Joan (John), Nancy (Berend), Sharon (Teddy), and Steven (Karen). Jacqueline’s legacy continues through her 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.
Jacqueline’s love for her family was unmatched, and her care for each of them was evident throughout her life. She was known for her joy in the simple things—whether it was finding a hidden treasure at a garage sale, playing the lottery with hopeful anticipation, or enjoying her nightly ritual of watching the news at 11pm while eating a bowl of corn flakes. She had a special way of making even the most ordinary moments feel significant, and her infectious laughter and warm spirit will be deeply missed.
In her earlier years, Jacqueline did some modelling, but above all, she was a loving mother who cherished every moment with her children.
Visitation will take place Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held Sunday January 26th at 11am in the chapel at Urgel Bourgie Athos 1275 Dollard, Lasalle, Qc, H8N 2J1.
Jacqueline Abraham’s love, strength, and determination for life will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will never be forgotten.
