Honoring the Life of Maria Lucia Marsala
(November 5, 1935 – December 21, 2024)
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved mother Maria Lucia Marsala, who brought joy and warmth to everyone she met.
Born in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily to Calogero Lucia and Giuseppa Scalia, she lived a life full of love and dedication.
Reunited with her husband, Giuseppe Sebastiano Marsala, and her grandson, Giacinto Arcuri (Antonella Scalia), she leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Serafina (Domenico Arcuri), Pina (Raymond Calderone), and Jackie. Her grandchildren, Joe (Oriana), Calogero (Enza), Leonardo (Joanne), Joe, Tony (Tessa), Giovanna Maria (Andrew), Michael (Amanda) and Cristina will always remember her with love. Her great-grandchildren, who adored her, will deeply miss her presence.
She was a loving sister to Angela (Giuseppe Antonio), Anna (Carmelo), Francesca, Giuseppa (Giuseppe), Emanuele (Angela) who are all deceased and living sister, Carmela (Domenico - deceased), and a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews. Her kindness, wisdom, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Family will receive your condolences on Thursday, December 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, December 27 from 10 a.m. to 12: p.m at Complexe Urgel Bourgie, 6700 Beaubien Est, Mtl, 514 735-2025,
the funeral will take place on Friday, December 27 at 12:30 p.m. at the Monte Carmel Church, 7645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 2A1, burial to follow at the Mausole Marie Auxiliatrice, Repos St-François d'Assise, Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask for donations to be made in her name to Santa Cabrini Hospital and Chapel.
