It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Cassell in Verdun on November 30, 2024, at the age of 65. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria Prattico.
Raymond is survived by his mother, Ira Marjorie Cassell; his son, Marcus; predeceased by his brother Russell.
He also leaves to mourn his sister, Brenda; and his niece and nephews, Mitchell, Matthew, and Chelsea.
As well as many friends and family.
Raymond will be remembered for his dedicated work in the community as a recreational therapist and for being a devoted father to his son. He was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Raymond was always ready to lend a helping hand and offered his support to anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends will leave a lasting impression. His positive outlook on life, his love for sports, and his team spirit will be cherished memories. Raymond was truly a gentle giant and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex (1275 Av Dollard, LaSalle, QC H8N 2J1) on Thursday, January 9 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
A ceremony will be held on Friday January 10th, at 1 p.m, at the St-John Brébeuf Church located at 7777 rue George, Lasalle, H8P 1C8.
Thence the burial at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
