Georgia Stavrakis (née Bagatela)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgia Stavrakis (Nee Bagatela), who peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on December 1, 2024, at the age of 87.
Georgia was the beloved daughter of the late Yanni Bagatela and Chrysoula Dritsas. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, John Stavrakis.
She leaves behind to mourn her children: Amalia (Peter Metrakos), Chrysoula, and Theodore (Rena). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Eleni Metrakos, Ioannis Yanni Metrakos, Georgia Stavrakis (Alessandro Pisaturo), and Yanni Stavrakis.
Georgia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm smile, boundless kindness, and extraordinary cooking. Her unwavering support and dedication to her family and friends left a lasting impact, as she always went above and beyond for those around her.
The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex (1255 Av. Beaumont, Mont-Royal, QC H3P 2H2) on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel (11801 Av. Élie-Blanchard, Montréal, QC H4J 1R7).
