Casimiro Polegato
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Miro Polegato. He will be dearly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Irma, and two children, Steven (Joseph Cox) and Daniel. He is also remembered kindly by his many nephews and nieces and their families.
Miro grew up in Dominion, Cape Breton, and went on to study civil engineering at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Upon completing his degree, he moved to Montreal to start his career, meeting Irma and starting his family. He had a very successful career at Kvaerner-Hymac for 30 years and travelled extensively in his role as VP Sales & Marketing.
An avid skier and runner, Miro embraced life and health. He enjoyed his retirement thoroughly as he and Irma travelled and spent winters in the Florida sun, walking the boardwalk and having joyful dinners together with friends. Miro was loved and appreciated by his family, many friends, and business colleagues.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Montreal Heart Institute.
