Mary Murphy
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished mother and grandmother, Mary Rose Murphy, on October 6, 2024. Born in Montreal on April 18, 1937, to the late Dermott and Vera Murphy (née Flanagan), she was the beloved sister of the late Dermott (Monique Berthiaume). Loving wife and best friend for over 50 years to the late Robert Doherty, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories.
Mary will be forever remembered by her devoted children; Michael (Maryse Darrouzes), Kevin (Sue Codispoti), Thomas (Patricia Ledgett), Coleen (Irwin Kastner), and Brendan (Lucy Pavone). She was an extremely proud grandmother to Aidan, Joey, Samantha, Tyler, Jenna, Ashley, and Jessica. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will take place at Urgel Bourgie/Feron Athos, 1275 Dollard Avenue, Montreal, on Wednesday, October 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Basilica, 454 René-Lévesque Blvd. West, on Thursday, October 31, at 1:30 p.m., followed by interment at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
