Michel Mailloux
Michel Mailloux
1940-2024 (Amos - Sainte-Julie)
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Michel left us on 7 August 2024 for a better world.
Michel, a discreet scholar, distinguished cruciverbalist and avid reader, is survived by his long-time wife, Gisèle Tourscher, the Mailloux family and many family and friends.
In accordance with Michel's wishes, there will be no service.
In Michel's memory, if you wish, you can make a donation to the Cancer Foundation or the organization of your choice.
In memory of Michel, to accompany him where he is, here is a poem by Baudelaire (Les fleurs du mal)
The maid with the big heart you were jealous of,
And who sleeps her sleep under a humble lawn,
We should bring her some flowers.
The dead, the poor dead, have great sorrows,
And when October blows, the mower of old trees,
Its melancholy wind around their marbles,
Surely they must find the living very ungrateful,
To sleep, as they do, warmly in their sheets ...
Michel, I'll let you say the rest, you know it by heart.
Goodbye, Michel!
