Surinder Singh Panesar *Papu*
*August 28, 1954 – August 15, 2024*

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Surinder Singh Panesar, lovingly known as Papu, on August 15, 2024, at his home in Brossard, QC. Born on August 28, 1954, in Nairobi, Kenya, Papu lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.

Papu was a kind and caring man who touched the lives of everyone he met. Known for his sharp wit and infectious sense of humor, he never failed to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. From his early days in Kenya, through his journey to England, and finally settling in Montreal with the love of his life, Papu built a beautiful family, whose growth and unity were a testament to his strength and guidance.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Amar Kaur Panesar (Rupra); his children, Tejpal (Ashli), Ranjit, and Inder; and his cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Sophie-Mae, and Sukha ; his devoted brothers and sisters: Malook, Kuldip, Gurmeet and Mohinder ; and a large, loving extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A dedicated Sai Devotee, Papu was a pillar of the community, always going the extra mile to help others, his generosity and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on August 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM to 2:00 pm at Urgel Bougie - 8145 Ch. de Chambly, Saint-Hubert, QC J3Y 5K2.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Papu’s name to :
