It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ramona Zakaib on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Montreal, at the age of 95, following a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy, her son Hector Jr. (Sandra Miele) and her granddaughters Cassandra (Danny Luong) and Keara (Dragos Popa). She is predeceased by her husband Hector Paul.

Ramona was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her immediate family, as well as her extended family.
Deeply religious and passionate about singing, she sang in the church choir for over 55 years.
Always a classy lady, she enjoyed cooking, entertaining, piano playing, and taking care of her family.

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie/Athos funeral home, located at 1255 Avenue Beaumont in Mount Royal, from 6-9pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, located at 80 de Castelnau Street East in Montreal, at 10am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, followed by a burial service at Mount Royal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church or the charity of your choice.
