It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Filomena Sibilia-Taddio on December 16th, 2023 at the age of 90. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her loving children Silvestro (Jackie), Emilio (Rossana), Giovanna (Frank Jr.), her cherished grandchildren Jessica (Alessandro), Sara (Nicolas), Olivia (Curtis), John-Anthony (Brianna), Nicholas, Frank (Olivia), and Michael. Her sisters Gerarda and Generosa. As well as her many nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends.
She was born in San Mango sul Calore, Avellino, Italy, on April 11, 1933.
Filomena's life was centered around her family, and she brought warmth and love to every moment. She was a dedicated and caring mother, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her delicious homemade meals..
In addition to her roles as a wife and mother, Filomena faced the challenges of life with strength and grace after the passing of her beloved husband Giovanni on October 1,, 2002. Despite the hardships, her resilience and love for her family and her numerous relationships, never wavered.
Filomena's legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, nurturing spirit, and the joy she found in bringing people together through her passion for baking and cooking.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the warmth of the love she shared throughout her remarkable life.
Visitations will be held at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 6700 Beaubien Street East, Montreal, QC., on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 from 4 pm to 9pm. and on Wednesday, December 20th, from 10:00 am to 12:30. A funeral will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 7645 Du Mans, St. Leonard, QC., at 1pm. then to the cemetery to Saint François D’assise.

Moglie devota, madre amorevole e nonna adorata, mancherà ai suoi figli Silvestro (Jackie), Emilio (Rossana), Giovanna (Frank Jr.), ai suoi adorati nipoti Jessica (Alessandro), Sara (Nicolas), Olivia (Curtis), John-Anthony (Brianna), Nicholas, Frank (Olivia) et Michael. Le sue sorelle Gerarda e Generosa. Così come i suoi numerosi nipoti, amici e parente.

La vita di Filomena è stata incentrata sulla sua famiglia e ha portato calore e amore in ogni momento. È stata una madre devota e premurosa, creando una casa piena di amore, di risate e dell'aroma confortante delle sue deliziose creazioni al forno.
Oltre al suo ruolo di moglie e madre, Filomena ha affrontato le sfide della vita con forza e grazia dopo la scomparsa dell'amato marito Giovanni, deceduto il 2 ottobre 2002. Nonostante le difficoltà, la sua resilienza e il suo amore per la famiglia non hanno mai vacillato.
L'eredità di Filomena vive attraverso i suoi figli, i suoi nipoti e le innumerevoli vite che ha toccato con la sua gentilezza. Il funerale avrà luogo il 20 dicembre alle 13:00 presso la Chiesa Nostra Signora del Monte Carmelo, 7645 Du Mans, St. Léonard, QC., seguito della sepoltura in cimitero Le Repos Saint François D'assise.
