André died in Montreal on November 14, 2023 of cancer. He was the son of Gilles Vaillancourt and Cécile Lauzon, and the father of Paul, all already deceased.

He leaves to mourn his brother Jean (Laurence), his niece Marie (Michael), his friends, his former colleagues.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Luke Church (106A, boul. Anselme-Lavigne, Dollard-des-Ormeaux) on Friday, December 1 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives will welcome people during the hour preceding the mass.
