Agavni Agonaian
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister closed her beautiful blue eyes for the last time on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 in Montreal.
In her 97 years on this earth, she was our treasured presence exuding strength and resilience. The daughter of a Genocide survivor, she immigrated to Montreal, Canada from Istanbul (Constantinople) with her husband (Yetvart) and daughter (Hilda) in 1965.
Her cooking and baking acumen was second to none, particularly in the traditional Armenian repertoire. She used her skills as a seamstress to sow designer-quality dresses.
She was a most dedicated grandmother and the embodiment of selflessness, always worked very hard and never complained. She played a pivotal role in raising her beloved grandchildren (Caroline and Daniel). She delighted in the births of her four great grandchildren (Edward, Alexander, Leo and Aurelie). Her eyes would light up every time she had an opportunity to see them, up until the very end.
We will miss her immensely and cherish the memories she left us.
Thanks
Mom
