Maria Pia D'Aversa
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mamma and Nonna, Maria Pia Di Clemente (née D’Aversa) on Saturday, September 23, 2023, one day before her 89th birthday.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 68 years, Antonio (Tonino) Di Clemente, and her loving children Vincenzo, Grazia (Kevin), Paola (Graham), and Franco (Francine).
The sudden loss has left an inconsolable void in the hearts of her adoring grandchildren: Karina (Gauthier), Giovina, Serena (Denis), Gabriella (Ryan), Laura (Joseph), Anthony (Tiffany), Massimo, Emma (Alex), Mia, Shannah, and Sasha, as well as her precious great-grandchild Ella Grace. She also leaves to mourn her extended family and friends in Ottawa, Toronto, Italy, Australia, and Venezuela.
Mamma was a talented and much sought-after seamstress. Countless brides and women were privileged to have her design and create the beautiful fashions they proudly wore. She often returned to her native Miglianico with Tonino where she spent many summers by the sea. She cherished her family and friends and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms to share her wonderful cooking.
Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and to Father Nvougbia for his healing words.
The family will receive condolences at Les Jardins Urgel Bourgie, 2500 Av. des Perron, Laval, H7J 1G5 on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will also be a last visitation on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
A mass will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, 11 a.m. at Mission Maria Auxiliatrice Church: 8555 boulevard Maurice-Duplessis, Montreal, H1E 4C3.
We will then return to the Les Jardins Urgel Bourgie in Laval for the burial.
Mamma, may you rest in eternal peace. You left us too quickly. We will carry your love and dedication to us forever in our hearts. Nonna, ti amiamo tanto, tanto, tanto, tanto.

L'improvvisa perdita ha lasciato un vuoto inconsolabile nei cuori dei suoi adoranti nipoti: Karina (Gauthier), Giovina, Serena (Denis) Gabriella (Ryan), Laura (Joseph), Anthony (Tiffany), Massimo, Emma (Alex), Mia, Shannah e Sasha, e la sua preziosa pronipote Ella Grace. Partecipano al dolore la sua grande famiglia allargata e i numerosi amici intimi di Ottawa, Toronto, Italia, Australia e Venezuela.
Mamma era una sarta talentuosa e molto ricercata. Innumerevoli spose e donne hanno avuto il privilegio di indossare gli splendidi abiti con orgoglio. Con il marito Tonino, tornava nella sua nativa Miglianico dove trascorreva le estati al mare. Adorava la sua famiglia e i suoi amici e accoglieva tutti nella sua casa, a braccia aperte, per condividere la sua meravigliosa cucina.
Un ringraziamento speciale al personale compassionevole dell'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont e a Padre Nvougbia per le sue parole confortanti.
La famiglia riceverà le condoglianze a Les Jardins Urgel Bourgie , 2500 Av des Perron, Laval, H7J 1G5 , domenica 1° ottobre 2023 dalle 14:00 alle 17:00 e dalle 19:00 alle 21:00. Ci sarà anche un'ultima visita lunedì 2 ottobre 2023 dalle ore 9:00 alle 10:00.
Lunedì 2 ottobre 2023 si terrà la messa presso la chiesa Mission Maria Ausiliatrice 8555 boulevard Maurice-Duplessis, Montreal, H1E 4C3 alle 11:00.
