Vivian Nakash
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Vivian Nakash Saykaly. Our mother was born in Sherbrooke Quebec, the eldest daughter of the late George and Florence Nakash. Sister of Lally Aziz, (the late William) and Gay ( Emsey Elkas).
Adored wife of the late Ernest Saykaly, cherished mother of Mark ( Louise Lepage) Nancy (John Souaid) and Janet ( David Dussault). Proud and loving grandmother of David (Mia), Nicole (John) ,Patrick (Ali) Elizabeth, Michelle ( Eric) Christine (Yohann) as well as 12 precious great grandchildren Lauren, Amanda, Daniella, Kate, Jack, Téa, Cole, Reid, Adele, Maggie, Juliette and Arianne.
Our mother lived an extremely blessed and fulfilling life that she never took for granted. She was very community oriented and a devoted and active parishioner of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. However, her greatest commitment was her drive to help those stricken with cancer. This was the motivation for her becoming a founding member of the Cedars Cancer Foundation. This dedication was surpassed only by her love and dedication for family and friends. Mom derived great pleasure in welcoming all to her home.
Her last years, though difficult, were faced with her usual grace and elegance. She will be greatly missed, and forever loved.
At this time the family wishes to express our thanks and appreciation to her many caregivers. In particular we would like to acknowledge her dear friend Kathleen Zakaib Lacroix whose care and love for our mother was a source of great comfort to us all.
Visitation will take place at Urgel Bougie 1255 Beaumont Ave ,Mount Royal Wednesday Aug 2nd from 2-8 pm.
The funeral will take place Thursday Aug 3rd at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont at 10 am . There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service.
