Hazel Michel
Hazel Georgette Auger passed away peacefully in her 104th year after a life well-lived.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1991 and will be missed by her children, Donna (late Adel), Andrew (Janice), and Peter (Susan).
She will also be missed by her 7 beloved grandchildren, Michael (Luisa), Kelly (Rob), Matthew (Adriana), David (Lauren), Jamie (Mark), Jonathon (Alexandra), and Jessica and 9 cherished great-grandchildren, Emmanuel, Ryan, Maxim, Ella, Julia, Alexandra, Matthew, Chloe, and Raphael. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Mary, Dave, Mike, Evelyn, and Emile and is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Michel.
She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunty Jo".
Always guided by her deep faith in God, she led a full life. She was instrumental in founding C&MTextiles in 1948 with her husband Charles and brother-in-law Maurice, one of her proudest achievements!
With her many friends, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and working in the church. The family expresses thanks to her many caregivers.
Visitation will take place at St.George Church, 555 Jean Talon East, Mtl, QC on Monday, June 19 from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 20 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Church (www.saintgeorgemontreal.org) to the charity of your choice.
