Bentley Alleyne
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bentley Alleyne on Friday, the 12th of May, 2023.
Predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Geraldine Alleyne, and brother Michael.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his partner Phyllis and two children Stacey (Bennet) and Vanessa. Sisters, Marcy and Diana, and brothers Marven (Theresa) and Patrick. As well as nieces and nephews, Jacklyn, Andrew, Lawrence, Jason, Krystal, Shanta, Rashanna, Keegan, Keisha and numerous godchildren.
Affectionately known as "Cooper" he was an avid cricketer where his love of the game began in his younger years in Barbados. His love of the game allowed him to travel to numerous cities showing off his talent as a batsman. In 1966 he settled in Montreal and took up welding as his profession. Cricket was his passion, and during the summers for many years he was able to play for the local Crusaders cricket club.
Bentley was a quiet man that worked hard to provide for his family. He was a great friend to many and he will surely be missed by all who had the chance to know him.
Viewing will be held on Friday, the 26th of May, 2023 from 4 to 9 pm at Feron Urgel Bourgie/Athos 1275 Dollard Ave LaSalle (QC) H8N 2J1. The funeral will take place on Saturday, the 27th of May, 2023 at 10 am at the funeral home followed by internment at Montreal Memorial Gardens 3955 Chemin de la Cote-de-Liesse, Saint-Laurent (QC) H4N 2N8.
