Mary Destounis (née Mourelatos)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Destounis (née Mourelatos), on March 19, 2023, in Montreal, at the age of 92.
She was a cherished mother to Afroditi (Kosta) and Evange (Mary). Mary was a loving grandmother to Chris (Christina), Dimitra (Mike), Greg (Stella), Gregory and Jenna. She will also be dearly missed by her great-grandchildren Dino, Michael, Georgia, Dean, Penelope and Elena. She will be forever remembered by close relatives and dear friends in Canada and Greece.
The family will receive condolences
on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 1255 Beaumont, Mont-Royal, from 3pm to 9pm.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 9:30 am at Saints Constantine and Helen Church, 20 Brunswick Blvd. Dollard-des-Ormeaux H9B 2N6.
The burial will then follow in the Saint-Laurent cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Lakeshore Hospital Foundation.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the residence La Belle Vie and at the Lakeshore hospital on the 4th floor South, for their care and compassion.
