Francesco Miceli
At the age of 93, Francesco Miceli (Ciccio) passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loved ones.
He was a devoted and caring husband to Ida Mazzarello for close to seventy years; a loving father to five children, Domenico (Antonietta), Francesca (Michele), Mirella (late husband, Michele), Flora and Lidia (Frank); an adoring grandfather—known as “Nanu”—to nine grandchildren, Giovanni (Marisa), Stella (Donny), Sonia (Marcello), Francesco (Christine), Sabrina (Fabrizio), Francesco (Katherine ), Mario (Marilie), Gianfranco (Samantha) and Michael; and a proud great grandfather to Michael, Mario, Kiera, Adriano, Abigail, Giuliana, Vittoria, Brooklyn, Sarrina , Alessio and Ella.
Born in Campora San Giovanni (CS), Italy, Francesco settled in Montreal as a young man. Throughout his life, he was committed to his family’s well-being and to providing a comfortable life for them. He was loved and respected by those who knew him and most happy when surrounded by his family and friends. Francesco will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23 at Urgel Bourgie/Athos Funeral Complex (1275 Dollard Ave., LaSalle) from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24 at Madre dei Cristiani Church (1600 Thierry St., LaSalle), at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery, (4275 des Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux).
