Jean-Charles Tremblay
Affectionately known as J.C. or Charlie by his family and his many long-time friends and colleagues around the world, Jean-Charles Tremblay was a truly special man.
Charlie was a most devoted husband to the late Maureen O’Connor. He was also a loving and cherished husband to Jenny Mitchell and endeared stepfather to Christina and Dan for the past 16 years. Charlie was the oldest of 9 children and favourite uncle to Ann, Ellen and Shirley.
J.C. was a most meticulous man whose sense of style and unfailing integrity were equally legendary. His smile was seen across any room, his warmth and playful sense of humour appreciated by all. His strong handshake always remembered and respected; his word never questioned. He was cherished for his wonderful storytelling, as well as his vision and sound advice as a committed advisor and mentor to so many over the years.
J.C. joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served our country for 16 years. He later began working with a leading insurance carrier for the first part of his career, and then joined the Copoloff Insurance family group in 1986 where he was a highly valued and accomplished team player who excelled at breaking new ground and creating meaningful relationships for 35 years. He will be remembered for his many contributions to the insurance industry, and he will be greatly missed.
Besides being a dedicated family man and a steadfast friend and colleague, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved golfing and travelling in a camper throughout Europe and was a passionate fisherman who enjoyed teaching others his many tricks. He worked hard, knew how to have fun, and always enjoyed life.
Our gratitude goes to the team at Champlain Palliative Care for their exceptional work.
