James Hynes

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of James Samuel Hynes, early in the morning of April 18th 2022, Easter Monday, at the age of 77.

Fondly known as Jim, he managed his business Jim's Auto Repairs in St-Hubert for numerous decades, gaining many good friends along the way. The joy of his life was his grandchildren with whom he experienced innumerable memories.

Jim leaves in mourning his loving companion and caregiver, Phyllis Leslie, who greatly helped him in his courageous three year battle with cancer.

Also mourning his passing are his children and grandchildren. He was the loving father to Steven, David (Tina), Donna (Grant), Selena and Miranda; and grandfather to Bryce, Ethan, Carter, Annika, Alyssa, Ryder, Kacy and Skyla.

Jim leaves behind siblings Jack, Donna, Linda, Joan, Brenda, Wayne and Barry along with many beloved nephews and nieces.

Jim was preceded by his loving wife of 41 years Margaret Bilodeau Hynes and siblings Ronald, Ralph, Bill and Donnie.

A special thank you to Dr. Soldera, Dr. Speranza and Dr. Ayllon, the Charles Lemoyne Hospital Oncology team and the CHSLD Champlain palliative care in Brossard.

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie 8145 Chambly Rd, Saint-Hubert. Viewing will be held May 2nd between 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm and May 3rd 11am to 1pm. A service will be held May 3rd at 1pm. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion 205 Rue Empire, Greenfield Park.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Jim's name to the Charles Lemoyne Hospital Oncology department would be appreciated.
