Soubhi Kano
It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you that our beloved Soubhi Kano, at the age of 87, in Montreal QC, passed away during the night of April 2nd, 2022. Leaving his wife Sylvie Chamas, his children Abdoulahad Kano ( Roula Haskour), Gina Kano, Samer Kano (Sandy Barbar), Rami Kano (Fanny Savaria) and Fadi Kano (Belinda Kösnül) and 5 grandchildren: Marco, Emma, Zena, Lucas and Noah.
Soubhi was born in Mardin, Turkey, December 15th 1934. He immigrated with his younger brother Zaki, and sister Gular, to Derbasieh, Syria after they lost their parents at a young age. He worked with his brother in agriculture while living in Aleppo. He met and married Sylvie Chamas, his beloved wife of 52 years. He went on to have the first large scale chicken hatcheries in Damascus, Syria. Then, Soubhi and Sylvie immigrated to Montreal, Canada, wanting to give their children amazing education and life opportunities.
Soubhi adored his children and his grandchildren. They meant the world to him. His love, laughter and generosity will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 4th, from 4 pm to 9 pm at funeral home Urgel Bourgie Athos, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue Mont-Royal, Quebec H3P 3J1.
The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday April 5th 2022 at 11am. Burial will follow the funeral at Mont Royal cemetery at 1 pm located at 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, Qc, H2V 2P9.
