McLean Cimon

McLean (Mac) Shink Cimon passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021, at the Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé in Laval.

Mac was born on February 10, 1927, in Montreal. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years Yvonne Magnan, and their daughter Nicole (Guy Maher), and his brothers René and Jacques. He is survived by his children Karen, Pierre (Marie Monaghan), Danielle (Michael Costello) and his grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark Purdy), Eric (Shanel Labonté-Demers), Isobel (Abdullah ElTarazi), François and Alexandra as well as his great-grandchildren, Edouard, Alia, Beatrice, Adele and Ryan.

He is a McGill University graduate in commerce and went on to pursue a successful career in the furniture manufacturing business at Cimon Ltée, a family enterprise. His entrepreneurial spirit and ambitious skills led him to establishing a second furniture company “Impact 2000”. His joy of sailing led to wonderful moments navigating and racing on lakes St-Louis and Champlain with his family. Through his passion for photography, he explored his creative and artistic talents as a member of the Montreal Camera Club of which he was very engaged and a past president.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos Funeral Complex, 1255 Beaumont av. In TMR, on Monday May 30th 2022 from 10 to 11h45. A ceremony will follow and can be viewed by clicking on the orange camera.
