Carmela Tesolin (née Monaco)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carmela Monaco Tesolin in her 67th year, on December 5th, 2021. Beloved wife of Valentino Tesolin, adored and devoted mother of Robert and Daniel, sister to Joseph and Salvatore Monaco. She will also be sadly missed by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
As a mother, her love for her family knew no bounds; it was endless and selfless, from cooking holiday meals, sewing costumes and always supporting her children through life’s many challenges.
Carmela was a dedicated and devoted teacher, who for 35 years strived to do what was best for her students at all times, never seeking recognition. She strove for fairness in everything she did, which was at the core of her personality. Carmela was also a devoted and dedicated mentor to many student teachers, helping them grow into their new careers.
To celebrate her life, a visitation will be held on Monday, December 13th at the Urgel Bourgie / Athos Funereal Complex located at 6700 Rue Beaubien Est, Montréal. Visiting hours will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:30 – 5:00 PM and 6:30 – 9:00 PM.
For everyone’s safety, the family respectfully requests that all those attending the visitation be fully vaccinated.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14th. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in memory of Carmela Monaco Tesolin to the Stroke Program of the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital, https://www.alumni.mcgill.ca/give/index.php?new=1&new=1&formtype=MNI
