Edith Pink
PINK-FRANKLIN, EDITH, wife of the late Aubrey Franklin. Born on December 8th, 1934, In Clarendon, Jamaica. Mrs. Franklin entered peacefully into rest on June 7th, 2021 in Montreal, Canada.
Daughter of the Late Steven Pink and Mina Stoner-Pink. Siblings include Sister Estriana Pink-Adlam, the late Gustivas Pink, Aseneth Pink, Ezekiel (Tom) Pink, Ernest (John) Pink, Asbert Pink (half-brother) and Inez Campbell (half-sister).
Mother of (son) Clifford Smith (One Love), (daughter) Herma Smith-Brooks and Hopeton Brooks (spouse of Herma Smith).
Grand-mother of Shane Pleasant, Sandra Pleasant, Shawn Smith, Junior Smith, Aphisha Smith, Dwayne Smith, Dayne Smith, Christopher Coombs, Vanessa Brooks, and the late Ronald Brook.
Great-grand mother of Ronald Pleasant, Dante Pleasant, Sasha Hamilton, Amaya Coombs, Christopher Coombs Jr., Jelissa Smith and Kevonte Tall, Jeremiah Smith-Thompson, Catalaya Smith-Thompson.
Because of the close bond and loving relationship between the two sisters Edith and Estriana, after migrating to Canada Estriana did not leave her sister Edith behind, but brought her also to Canada in 1965, where she resided until her going to rest on June 7th.
Mrs. Franklin was known as a loving and caring person to her family and friends. Mrs. Franklin was also a long standing member of the UPC (United Pentecostal Church, St. Laurent) under the leadership of Pastor Paul Graham. Her memories are remembered by her children Clifford and Herma, her only surviving sibling Estriana Pink-Adlam and her many grand-children, great grand-children, many cousins, nieces and nephews, church brothers and sisters.
Don’t think of her as gone, she is in the haven of rest and we will see her again someday! “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's” Romans 14:8
