It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Enid Millicent Robertson Ashby age 94, Born May 21st, 1926 in Hanover, Jamaica entered peacefully into rest on Friday, April 16th, 2021. Beloved wife to (late) Charles Henry Ashby, Daughter of the (late) Simeon and (late) Ellen Robertson, Siblings (late) Gloria Swaby and Catherine Lyttle. Mother of Micheal Sr. (Isabelle), (late) Jim and John, Grandmother of Micheal Jr. (Amelie) and Dhantae (Maegan), Several nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and many dear devoted friends.

Joyce came to Canada in the late 1950s to pursue a nursing career, she worked at a few different institutions. Later on she opened her own foster care home (Ville Marie Social Services) for special needs adults before her retirement in the late 1980s.

Heartfelt “thank you” to Dr. Micola Toma and The team at Pavillon Camille Lefebvre Residence in Lachine Quebec where she last resided. A huge “thank you” to Pastor William Price and Church Family for their love and support.

A Private Viewing at 11:00 AM followed by a Private Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM will take place on Thursday, April 29th 2021 at:
