Balmatee Batchasingh
It is with great sadness that the family of Balmatee Batchasingh-Dookie announces her passing on February 20th 2021. She was a devoted wife to Ralph Dookie for 55 years who passed away on January 2019 and loving mother to Arvind who passed away August 2018.
Born March 1 1936 in Gran Couva Trinidad, Balmatee was the first daughter of Goolab Batchasingh who passed away August 1959 and Soomintra Batchasingh who passed away September 2005. She belonged to a large loving family that included deceased brothers Boyzin (married to Dia), Jeevan (married to Rosalind), Clifford (married to Carol) and Prem (married to Vimla).
Balmatee is survived by her sister Savitri (married to Rohan) currently residing in Toronto, Sharma (married to Angie) currently residing in Montreal and Mitra (married to Seeta) currently residing in Ottawa. She will be lovingly remembered by her nephews and nieces living in Canada and Trinidad and fondly remembered by her cousins in Trinidad, England, Switzerland, Russia, the United States of America and Sweden. She will be missed by all and her memories will be cherished for a lifetime.
