Anne-Marie Dionne
We are sad to announce the passing of Anne-Marie Dionne in Montreal on January 19, 2021 at the age of 93.
Anne-Marie was born into a large family on October 25, 1927 to Ernest Dionne and Louise Malenfant in Saint-Cyprien, Québec where she also grew up. She married François Labonté in 1953 and moved with him to Guyenne, Québec where they raised their family and she worked as a school teacher. When François passed in 1983, Anne Marie moved to Montreal to join Denise and Germain.
She was preceded in death by her husband François Labonté, infant son André, her daughter Denise and son Germain. She is also predeceased by her four brothers Paul, Marc-Aurèle, Gérard and Laurent Dionne and by her sister Agnes Dionne.
She is survived by her two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Camille Labonté and daughter-in-law Margo Atwood-Labonté. She will be sadly missed by Cecile and Claude Laporte and extended family.
She was a very talented seamstress and knitter, and her two granddaughters looked beautiful in the many things she made for them as children.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Guyenne, Quebec where she will be laid to rest beside her husband François.
