Joan S. Besner (née Wylie)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan S. Besner on November 12, 2020 at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in Kirkland, Quebec.
She leaves to mourn her husband Daniel Besner, her mother Thérèse Wylie, her sister Audrey Brunet, her nephews Nicolas (Hillary) and Philippe as well as her four great nieces Rowan, Willow, Aveline and Nevis.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Palliative Care Residence; these exceptional people offered Joan tremendous support with compassion, dedication and dignity.
May the soul of this beautiful and unique woman rest in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Due to circumstances related to the pandemic, a service celebrating Joan’s life will be held in March (2021).
