Eugenie Parris (née Davis)
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our mother Eugenie Beryl (Davis) Parris.
Eugenie passed away in her 97th year on May 21st 2020 of complications from Covid-19.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and wife to Sydney Lester Parris (deceased).
Eugenie was a long-time resident of Montreal, Quebec.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia Eugenie was one of eleven brothers and sisters, her late sister Viola Desmond graces the Canadian ten dollar bill.
Eugenie is survived by her sister Wanda Robson (Joe) who currently resides in Nova Scotia.
Eugenie leaves behind her daughter Dawn (Rodney Millington) and sons Sydney (Sheila) and James (Jean).
Eugenie was predeceased by her daughters Sybil Parris and Joan Parris.
Her grandchildren Tracy and Stephanie (Bacchas) (Sybil), Rodney Jr (Josie) and Anissa (Brent Edwards) (Dawn), Sydney Jr. (Sydney), Lindsay (James), Alex, Jason and Gregory (Joan).
Her Great-Grandchildren Anissa Jayde (AJ) and Taviss who lovingly called her Granana.
As well as many nieces and nephews; her niece Marcia lovingly called her “A Strong Force”.
Our mother worked for Emergency First Aide in Montreal for over 10 years.
She loved listening to music; Tom Jones, Nat King Cole, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban and her favourite Celine Dion.
She loved watching her favourite team, the Montreal Expos while drinking her scotch on the rocks and reading her favourite books.
In her later years Eugenie was a resident at Harmony in Dollard des Ormeaux where she kept active, learning tai-chi and how to line dance.

She will forever be in our hearts.
