Elizabeth Rose
Elizabeth Dumais (nee Rose) died Monday, July 13th, 2020 at home of a heart attack. She would have celebrated her 72nd birthday on August 20th. Liz was predeceased by her parents Anthony Rose (1966) and Charlotte Nelson (1987).
Heartbroken are her children Mark, Tricia (Felix), Carrie (Rocco), and Amanda (Dom). Liz’s unexpected death has left an enormous void for her devastated best friends and sisters Patricia and Catherine (Don). Liz was a loving nanny to Jessica (Steven), Alex (Laura), DJ (Dominique), Hope, and Isabelle as well as great-nanny to Lukas and her happily inherited grandson Josh. Liz will be missed by friends such as Diane (Neil) and family like her sister-in-law Diane and Claire (Claude) and nieces and nephews Angela, Connie, Kim, Michael, and Raeann but in particular Treena, Jesse, Jason, and Chris as we shared the 3 moms’/ aunties’. Liz was predeceased by her sister in law Pammie (2019), and brothers’ Raymond (2010) and Jimmy (2018).
Liz worked as a telephone operator, and retired from the general hospital. She was an avid reader, crossword and jigsaw puzzler, thrift store treasure hunter and crocheter. She was so smart, gentle yet strong, stubborn, stoic, resilient, quiet, a tad mischievous and witty as hell. We don’t know what we’ll do without her.
A small service will take place at Urgel Bourgie 1275 Dollard Ave, Lasalle on Sunday, July 19th from 2-4pm. Due to COVID masks are required and condolences will be verbal rather than physical until a later date when we can share some food and hugs.
