Theodosia Antoniadou

With a heavy heart,on Tuesday June 9th 2020,at 5:59 pm was the last time I saw my mothers beautiful eyes,a short while after that she passed.I would have saved her again if the Covid time restrictions were not in place.

Beloved Mother,Sister,Aunty,cousin,Godmother,and friend.
Soula was an outstanding clothing designer meticulously skilled.A master at work and mostly by hand, she did what she did best with an unparalleled perseverance down to the tiniest detail.
Soula had some very well known clients, that were very loyal to her and many became long time friends. She also worked in the USA,including working with Carol Burnett.
She had a impeccable signature style, full of flair. She was the epitome of class and elegance, she lit up a room.
She was known for her "Joie de vivre", her zest for life.
Soula, enjoyed singing, dancing, dining out, travel, the opera. She adored her family and loved children. Her face would glow when there was young children present.
Soula possessed an immense passion for so many things.
She loved to socialize, she had a large circle of friends,a fabulous chef in the kitchen and she loved to entertain!
Soula was unique.A strong and original personality, with a great sense of humor!
She lived through many unfortunate struggles and hardships through out her life, Then Alzheimers set in at a rather early age that stripped her of all the joys in life. She lost everything yet I was with her every single day, watching her lose her ability to even remember who her only daughter or that she even had a child.
The public system failed her as they do to most. My poor mother was even brutally beaten up close to death in a CHSLD back in 2017, clinging to life. After 8 months at the Jewish General Hospital she regained some of her strength. However I was told she would never walk again,I could not let that happen. My mother loved her long walks and I was determined to prove all the Dr's wrong, and so was she!!!
For 2 weeks I worked with her endlessly at the Jewish trying to get her to stand up…it worked!!! Staff saw her in the Lobby standing and walking, everyone clapped! My Mummy was such a fighter till the end.....She survived so much pain.
Soula was part of many activities, communities and associations. She did a lot of volunteer work including Ahepa. She also sang in the choir at St.Georges Cathedral.
She will be incredibly missed.
Those stunning Turquoise eyes always shined on earth. Now they will shine amongst the stars in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a Alzheimer's Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Always and Forever Mummy....I Love you… RIP… you soo deserve it. Till we meet again and you can hold me in your arms!
