Maria Piccirilli (née Ioffredi)
Maria Ioffredi Piccirilli, 84, passed away on June 9, 2020 with her three children to her side.
She was born to the late Michele and Franceschina Ioffredi, on March 22, 1936, in Italy. She married the late Giuseppe Piccirilli on April 30th, 1960 in Italy, and they relocated and lived together in Caracas, Venezuela for 6 years before relocating to Montreal, Canada. Maria is survived by her three children and their spouses: Marilena (married to George), Cesare (married to Lori) and Franca (married to Joe). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Julia, Emily, Christopher and Miguel. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband in 2004.
Maria loved preparing lavish meals for her family and friends and she was an avid gardener. Maria was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Viewing ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11 am to 1 pm followed by a mass at the chapel at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home on Beaubien Street. The burial will take place at 2:30 pm at Le Repos Saint-Francois d’Assise. Due to the present COVID-19 situation, attendance at the funeral home and at the burial is only through invitation by the family. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association (Quebec chapter).
