John Patrick Timmons
In Montreal, on June 9, 2020, at the age of 88 years passed away John Patrick Timmons. He is survived by Hermance Rioux , his children Patrick (Marie), Ann and Francis (Damaris), his grandchildren Émilie (Fabien)
and Alex, his brothers and sisters Brendan (Philomena), Mike (Ginette), Maureen (Charlie), Terri (Gerry) , Dennis (Gloria), Bill (Eva) and Helen (Doug), his nephews and nieces, as well as many relatives and friends.
Born and raised in Sherbrooke, QC, where he started his career in the retail business, he moved to Quebec City at the age of 19 and ultimately to Rimouski where he bought a department store and met his future wife. He soon became fluent in French and raised four children. He was a very generous and civic-minded man, involved in many associations and clubs. He was also president of the local Rotary club and relentlessly promoted the regional economy of the Lower St-Lawrence.
Imbued with a very gregarious personality, he made an impression on all who met him.
He will be missed.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
