It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Kathy (Korobij) Kopek, on April 29, 2020. Predeceased by her loving husband Stanislaw, she leaves to mourn her children Jerry (Nellie), Helen (Brian), and Peter (Viviane). She will be deeply missed by her beloved grandchildren, Neil (Louis), Melanie (Michael), Andrea (Luis), Mark (CJ), Jeremy (Tiffany), and Janika (Philip), as well as her cherished great grandchildren Simone, Derek, Logan, Noah, Leah and Gabriel.

Our mother was a strong woman with a gentle, caring heart. Her tremendous generosity and love of family brought her and us great joy.

Mom’s greatest happiness came from spending time not only with family but dear friends as well. She was an outstanding hostess and an even better cook. Her home was always filled with camaraderie as we all adored her wonderful Polish feasts.

Mom also delighted in offering chocolate and candy to whomever she met, hoping her small gesture might brighten their day. Mom simply loved people, and so many loved her back. She was a loving, giving soul. What a privilege it was to have had her in our lives.

Mom will continue to live within us for your mother always stays with you. She lives inside your laughter. She is the smell of certain foods you remember. She is the fragrance of life. She is the place you came from, your first home. She is your first love and your first friend. Mom is that precious someone you carry in your heart for always.

Mom, we all love, honour and cherish you forever. Rest in peace dearest Mama, we will miss you.
