Daniel Tozzi

Dr Daniel Tozzi passed away in Montreal on February 10th 2020 at 70 years of age.
After more than 42 years of medical practice, initially as general practitioner, he then dedicated his practice in the prevention and screening of breast cancer at the Ville-Marie Breast Centre. Dr Tozzi's warm, calm and reassuring voice is extinguished in serenity.

Born in Montreal on August 17th 1949, he was the son of the late Perry Tozzi and the late Lydia Albanese.

He leaves behind his wife Helena Virgili, his daughter Emmanuelle, his son Olivier (Annie Laflamme), his beloved grandchildren Gabrielle (Pierre-Luc Scott), Antoine and Rachel, his brothers Ricardo (Andrée Gariépy) and Paul (Maria Fratipietro), as well as many other family members and friends.

Medicine was his passion and it became his duty and mission to reassure his patients with compassion and respect. Even after many years, his patients speak of him with gratitude. For his family, Daniel was an infallible presence, a reassuring person of great wisdom. All who knew him will remember his eloquence, his savvy, his insatiable curiosity for history, all punctuated with his numerous travel yarns.

The family is thankful for the dedication and care received from the staff of the Oncology Clinic and Palliative Care at St. Mary’s Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, your donations in memory of Dr Daniel Tozzi can be sent to the Ville-Marie Oncology Foundation (vmof.ca).
